With Google shaking the search engine scene up with the Panda update, quality content has become king. We all know this. If you don’t, you should. It’s the utmost importance to have unique content that provides value to the visitors to our blogs. Many in the SEO community believe valuable outbound authority links are part of what Google loves to see.

The way I look at it, good external links that link to relevant sites within your niche area and that can provide additional information to our guests is highly valuable. There is no wrong about it. I enjoy it. So why wouldn’t visitors to this blog appreciate added value, right? It’s only when you link to spammy sites and link farms that your site has the chance to be penalized.

I can’t say for certain as I am currently undertaking this experiment on my own site here. However, there is plenty of evidence out there that suggests outbound authority links to high page rank authority websites really does help rank your websites.

Like I said before, it just makes sense. Adding value to your site to give your visitors a better experience just makes sense. That is what the Panda updates are all about – making sure web browsers get what they are searching for and having a great quality experience once they arrive at your site.
